Open Gyms Held for Girls Wrestling

Since the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union recently sanctioned high school girls wrestling, West Delaware has started holding open gyms to gauge interest.
Volunteer coaches Dale Meyer and Kris Lenz held several open gyms in the multipurpose room for interested girls to learn how to wrestle. The first of four practices was on Jan. 31 with an average of 15 girls per practice.
