The West Delaware wrestling team stormed over Solon, winning their first dual of the season, 68-7.

Wrestling on his home turf, senior Christian Nunley entered the third period behind but did not let that affect him. Nunley took control over 220-pound Solon wrestler Gage Marty for a pin late in the third period.

“All I was thinking about was being aggressive and attacking,” Nunley said. “Don’t give up. My team is there for me no matter what.”

Seniors Reily Dolan, Staveley Maury, Jared Voss, Cael Meyer and Carson Petlon all added pins to their records last night.

West Delaware junior varsity also took the win, 54-45.
