Brady Schaul (10) and Landon Rausch (10) get in some early morning, pre-season practice. Coach Jeff Voss hopes giving them this opportunity will give them an edge over the competition.

On Oct. 26, Coach Jeff Voss started opening up the wrestling room at 6 a.m., three days a week, to give wrestlers the option of sharpening their skills before the season starts on Nov. 16.

Currently the defending 2A Dual Team State Champs, the Hawks hope to continue their domination going into the year.

Voss said he has goals to develop the behaviors of a championship culture once again.

“I want to challenge athletes to think bigger and give freshmen a taste of West Delaware wrestling,” Voss said.

Voss is most excited to see how far the team can go. The first dual will take place Dec. 3, at Waverly Shell Rock.
