The 2019 Yearbook wins class A Yearbook of the Year. The Iowa High School Press Association recently named the West Delaware Hawk yearbook the Class A Yearbook of the Year. 

Schools are awarded points for each individual award earned, and the points tallied identify the Yearbook of the Year in each class.

West Delaware’s first-place honors included Cover (Justin Grawe and JoAnna Voss), Calendar Design (Isabelle Willey), Division Design (Emily Klostermann and Justin Grawe), Infographic (Reagan Dolan), Sports Action Photo (Paighton Lindauer), Sports Story (Tehya Demmer) and Student Life Story (Kaleah Carter and Illiana Rohlf-McGraw).

Second place winners included Calendar Design (Tehya Demmer), Mug Design (Kaleah Carter, Erin Monaghan, and Trace Rowley), Division Design (Emily Klostermann and Justin Grawe), Calendar Design (Victoria Harris and Eve Wedewer), Reader Services (Emily Klostermann, JoAnna Voss, and Justin Grawe) and Total Package (Reagan Dolan and JoAnna Voss).

Third place categories included Mug Design (Eve Wedewer and James Nachtman), Student Life Feature Photo (Gavin Drees), Sports Feature Photo (Emily Klostermann), Sports Story (Claire Demmer) and Student Life Story (Sabrina Welcher and Isabelle Willey).

Honorable Mention Categories included Mug Design (Hannah Albrecht, Danielle Krogmann, and Sydney Morris), Calendar Design (Gavin Drees, Justin Grawe, and Kaylie Winston), Feature Photo (Chloe Wilson), Sports Story (JoAnna Voss and Reagan Dolan), Student Life Story (Chloe Wilson and Trace Rowley), Student Life Story (Paighten Lindauer), Student Life Story (Reagan Dolan and JoAnna Voss), Total Package (Claire Demmer) and Total Package (JoAnna Voss and Sydney Morris).
