On April 10, 15 students competed in the WaMaC Art show at Solon High School.

Fifteen students entered 20 art pieces and 10 art pieces received awards.

Junior Emily Ronnebaum was awarded the Terry Masters’ Student Choice Award for her Indian Colored Drawing, Students attending the WaMaC art show nominated her for this award. Ronnebaum also received first place for both her Colored Drawing and her Mixed Media 2D.

In Black and White Drawing, senior Grace Riess received first place and sophomore Molly Mullis received third place.

Junior Kale Rempe received third place in Mixed Media 3D and in Digital Photography.

Sophomore Danielle Krogmann received third place in Jewelry.

In Film Photography, junior Isabelle Willey received first place, senior Alex White received second place and senior Karley VanTheemsche received third place.

“This year’s art show showcased the best student artwork I have seen in a long time at WaMaC,” art teacher Jolene Pitzenberger-Timp said. “Our students were fantastic, and I was very proud of them and our art department at West Delaware.”
