The West Delaware Jazz Band has competed in several competitions throughout the season.

At the State Jazz Band Festival on Jan. 22, they received a division II rating.

On Feb. 8., the band participated in the Tallcorn Jazz Festival where junior Laia Lopez received the Outstanding Soloist award.

The Jazz Band also competed at the Coe Jazz Festival on Feb. 22.

Their final competition was the NEIBA District Jazz Festival in Independence on March 3. Both Jazz I and Jazz II competed at this competition.
