During Business and Industry Day, juniors of Delaware County schools met at the Manchester Community Center with companies and businesses to learn interviewing techniques and the job application process.

On Oct. 13 from 8:15-10:45 a.m., West Delaware, Maquoketa Valley, and Edgewood-Colesburg students met with Stryten Energy, Regional Medical Center, and Collins Aerospace along with other businesses and learned what it takes to be a good employee and how to get hired.

School-to-Work committee member Seth Harms said the School-to-Work committee has been arranging days like these for the past 15 years and have helped students with knowing exactly what Delaware County businesses are expecting from potential employees.

“It’s definitely helped a lot of students,” Harms said. “It doesn’t get much better than that.”
