Returning to Learn

Students Share Thoughts on Returning to School

West Delaware students returned to school Monday, August 23. Journalism students surveyed classmates about returning to learning.

“I’m sad because I’m going to make less money now that school is in session, but, on the other hand, I get to see my friends. I also don’t like how it’s so hot in the building because there’s no air conditioning.”

Zevon Sage, 12th grade

“I’m sad that summer is over, but I’m happy that I get to see my friends again. I just really don’t want this year to start because I don’t want it to end, because I’m not ready to go off to college.”

Alicia Nachtman, 12th grade

“I was nervous coming into high school as a freshman but I am now excited for the rest of the year. I am looking forward to making new friends and meeting upperclassmen.”

Andrea Kann, 9th grade

“I think this year will be pretty good. I am looking forward to the band competitions because we didn’t get to have any last year.”

Travis Limkemann, 12th grade
