The annual FBLA March of Dimes fundraiser raised $462.08 this year. FBLA officers decided to make it a competition between first hour classes to see who could collect the most change from Feb. 21 to March 1.

Teacher Bev Hermsen’s Algebra II class won a breakfast for collecting the most change after subtracting the dollar bills. Teacher Joan Salow’s Anatomy and Physiology class was the runner-up and won doughnuts for raising the most change overall.

Starting on Feb. 26, students were able to bomb other classes with dollar bills. Salow even bombed herself! “The March of Dimes is very special to me,” Salow said. “So I wanted to challenge my class to match my $3.”

FBLA advisor Jodie Bramel was excited about the participation between classes.

“I thought it went very well, better than expected,” Bramel said. “FBLA members (had) another opportunity to contribute (to the March of Dimes) at State by participating at the dance and at the walk.”
