On Saturday, Feb. 3, the speech team traveled to Decorah for State Speech. Out of the 20 groups that performed, 17 received Division I ratings throughout the day.
“So many of our groups had their best performances of the season at the state contest,” speech coach Stephanie Stocks said. “As coaches, we were so proud to see all that hard work rewarded.”
Three groups were selected for All-State, including the Ensemble Acting pieces “Table for Four” and “Tickets, Please,” and a freshmen Radio Broadcasting titled “KMED.”
