Starting July 1, Matt Weis will be the new high school assistant principal/activities director, pending school board approval on June 12.

Weis has taught and coached at Central City High School for 12 years and has been the activities director there for the past six years.

“I hope to use my experience to continue to make West Delaware a top school in the WaMaC,” Weis said.

Weis describes himself as an organized person, a good communicator, and an efficient worker.

“Overall, I’m good at creating meaningful relationships with staff and students,” Weis said. “My door is always open to chat.”

Weis is excited to start his new adventure at West Delaware.

“I look most forward to meeting the students and watching them compete and perform in all the different sports and activities that WD has to offer,” Weis said.
