Four West Delaware students competed in the Special Olympics Bowling Regionals held at Maple Lanes in Waterloo on Oct. 15.

Shelby DeStotel (11) placed first, Boudy Ross (11) second, and Rachel Sunne (12) second.

The students practiced twice a week with Coach Jenny Huehnergarth to prepare themselves for the bowling competition.

Proud of her athletes and preparing for the upcoming Special Olympics basketball season, Huehnergarth hopes to see students support her athletes.
“Going to these events just fills your heart,” Huehnergarth said.
