Thursday night, the West Delaware Hawks volleyball team started off the year 2-1 during their home quadrangular.

Led by head coach Brett Mather, the Hawks defeated Wapsie Valley and Independence, but they fell short two sets to one against Dike-New Hartford. Two key court-leaders from the night were junior Alivia Schulte and senior Carlee Smith.

Though West Delaware must be happy to start on a winning record, there is more work to be done. They will be looking to make this yet another successful season to remember.
