On Friday night, the West Delaware Hawks took on the Clinton River Kings on Clinton’s home field with the Hawks winning, 55 to 6.

By the end of the game, the Hawks piled up over 300 rushing yards and 57 passing yards for a final of 363 yards while the River Kings racked up 112. A key part of the Hawks’ offense Friday night was their running game. The River Kings could not stop it.

The Hawks’ defense controlled the ball, forcing Clinton to punt multiple times, with one play resulting in a touchdown for the Hawks.

After the first half, the Hawks had the game under control with a score of 42-0. Towards the end of the night, the Hawks dominated both sides of the ball.

Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch was especially pleased with the defense.  “The secondaries locked up the outside allowing more freedom for the seven guys in the box.”
