Special Olympics Results

The West Delaware Special Olympics team has been very successful.
On the weekend of February 15 and 16, the team represented the Northeast Division, participating in the skills competition at UNI.
Freshmen Mia Moreno and Jason Jones competed in basketball.
Moreno finished in second place. Jones placed first and qualified for the Wild-Winter State Games.
On March 2, the Special Olympic athletes competed in track and field.
Senior Hunter Slaymaker placed third in the softball throw/shot put. Moreno also participated in this event, placing first.
Slaymaker and Moreno both competed in the 50-meter dash with Slaymaker placing fourth and Moreno placing third.
