The West Delaware volleyball team beat Waverly-Shell Rock last night at the state volleyball tournament at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.

Taking control, the Hawks won, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 25-20. 

“We play with the philosophy to always want more,” said head coach Brett Mather. “Just like in life, you have to have a growth mindset to get better, and we train with growth mindsets.”

The Hawks face Sergeant Bluff-Luton at noon tomorrow in Cedar Rapids at the U.S. Cellular Center.
