Freshmen girls clap along with Beckman. “It was cool to have a speaker that got students involved,” freshman Jadyn Werner said. “It was really interesting to hear about his personal experiences.”

On January 16, the West Delaware student body and staff listened to youth motivator, Joe Beckman, from Minneapolis, MN. Beckman emphasized the importance of loving yourself, pushing through, and just looking up.

Beckman informed students, every single person makes 16,000 choices every day. As Beckman explained, these choices affect students lives and the legacy they will leave behind.
