Swinging for Success

Boys Qualify for State

On May 19, the West Delaware boys golf team qualified for the 3A State Tournament.

Seniors Coy Peyton and Griffin Lott qualified as individuals with scores of 78 and 79, respectively.

On May 14 , the boys finished in first place, scoring 296.

Varsity player Aidan Zirtzman (12) took first place at sectionals with a score of 70, while Macoy Peyton (12) and Colson Mersch (11) tied for third with a score of 74.

“We have all done great jobs this year,” Zirtzman said.

Hello! My name is Landen Palmer. I am a senior at West Delaware High School, and this is my first year in Journalism. Along with Journalism, I am involved in soccer, speech, musical, and other sports and activities. I currently work at Subway as a Team Lead and am part of the junior fair board. Besides work, school, and fair I love to snowboard, ride my motorcycle, and work out. After school, I plan to attend Kirkwood Community College to study Architectural Technology. I’m excited about what this semester will bring and to learn and contribute to the creation and design of the yearbook.

Besides Journalism, I am involved in volleyball, mentoring, wrestling stats, NHS, large group speech, leadership group, and student council. I have three jobs at St. Mary’s, Riverbend, and Altruity. Some of my hobbies are painting, sewing, and pickleball. I am so thrilled to help design and create the yearbook!
