Creative Writing students placed in the Eastern Iowa Reading Council Creative Writing and Poetry Contest.

Katie Steffen (12) won first place in the creative writing category and is invited to attend a banquet in Independence this April to share her winning story.

Also in the creative writing category, Abby Loecke (11) received second place and Olivia Williams (12) came in third.

Kaylee Mueller (11) earned third place in the poetry category.
