Hawks Win Semi-Finals

On Thursday, juniors Emma Schmidt and Lauren LeClere strive to block the ball. LeClere led West Delaware with seven blocks.

The varsity volleyball team beat New Hampton in the class 3A regional semi-finals on Oct. 24. The Hawks picked up the win, winning three of four sets (25-11, 21-25, 25-6, 25-10).

The Hawks will compete against Union on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Seedorff Gym for the regional finals. If the Hawks win on Tuesday, they will continue to the state tournament, which begins on Nov. 4 in Coralville.
