Kartman Punches her Second Ticket

After a season-best of 19:54 at the Solon District cross country meet on Wednesday, Brynn Kartman (10) punches her second state ticket placing 11th at the meet. Kartman is the fifth West Delaware girls runner who has made it to state twice.

“I’m excited to be back,” Kartman said. “Hopefully, I can run a PR (Personal Best) and beat my time from the state meet last year.”

Kartman will compete this Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge.

Hi! My name is Josie McMahon, and I am a senior at West Delaware. This is my first year in journalism! Along with journalism, I am involved in cross country, basketball, track, student council, NHS, WD-SDC, fall musical, and speech. I work at Smokey’s Bar and Grill and spend my summers teaching swimming lessons at the pool! I love spending time with friends, going to concerts, shopping, watching movies, and staying active. I plan to go to college next fall for secondary math education.  I am super excited to be joining the yearbook team!
