Humans of West Delaware: Shai Schuldt
“I started kickboxing because I wanted to get into a routine of working out. I attend Kickin It in Edgewood, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:15 to 6. I go with my aunt, and it’s great to have her as my workout buddy! Knowing that I’ve already accomplished so much early on in the morning and have my workout in is a great feeling! The ladies that lead the class are very welcoming! They boost your urge to want to workout and just make it very enjoyable. It isn’t really something I dread, like others would. The worst part about it is getting up at 4:40 in the morning because I know I have a long day ahead of me. Even on Friday mornings I still go to kickboxing and just leave early to make it to show choir practice. Doing new workouts is interesting. Some days we do 100 burpees, which isn’t any fun at all, but I feel so accomplished afterwards. It also helps me relieve so much stress because I get to punch and kick something as hard a I can. I can never walk out of the place without dripping sweat!”
