Art Club Welcomes All

Painting, sculpting, designing, and crafting are some of many art activities members can work on during Art Club.

Art Club is a place to meet other students and work on art. Meetings take place in teacher Jolene Pitzenberger-Timp’s room twice a month every second and fourth Monday from 3:30 – 5 p.m.

“Art Club offers any and all students a place to fit in and go for an after school activity when maybe some of the other clubs or sports don’t fit their personality,” Pitzenberger-Timp said.

Pitzenberger-Timp believes meeting twice a month will enhance students’ art skills and allow students extra time on their art work.

Junior Ashley Schmitt is passionate about art.

“It’s great to see the transformation of a picture turn into a drawing,” Schmitt said.

Any high school student may join. “It’s always about five people, and it’s always a different group,” Pitzenberger-Timp said.

One activity the club may participate in is creating cards and taking them to the Good Neighbor Home or Regional Medical Center.
